Parkside Players Profiles | |

I
found Parkside in 2004 when I saw their wonderful production of A Breath
of Spring and decided to join straight after. I came down one Thursday
night and they had just started their panto of Aladdin and I got given
the part of Princess Jasmine. Thus my first panto with the group. I
enjoyed it so much I decided to stay much to the disappointment of everyone
else! :) No we all love each other really! ;) My favourite play
is the one we just did where I played the slave Mary Warren in The Crucible,
we also took this play to the Felixstowe Drama Festival and got a few
awards for our production from the adjudicator. As well as being with Parkside I was on a two year course at Havering College studying the Performing Arts with some of my friends who have also joined Parkside. In September I will be leaving to go to Rose Bruford college for a Stage management course which is to last up to three years. Parkside has a lovely family atmosphere, we all look out for each other and I have made great friendships which I cherish. Anyone thinking of joining the group should see the fun side of amateur dramatics but also the serous side of putting on a play. I have learnt so much from the group that I would recommend it to everyone who wants to have a go at acting, directing and any other area of theatre. Thanks to everyone
at Parkside for the fun and laughter over the years! Your all Stars!
